First, the shows that are on right now so you'd better hurry!
- Ragtime in Concert from Fighting Chance Productions ends Feb 11
- Motown, The Musical (Broadway Across Canada) also ends Feb 11!
- The Little Mermaid from Align Entertainment is part of your world through Feb. 18.
Starting Feb. 16, it's Bittergirl: The Musical, an Arts Club on Tour production that will be wending its way around the Lower Mainland. Click here for a listing of all venues!
After that, there's musicals a-plenty for the foreseeable future, including:
- The Marvellous Wonderettes from the Deep Cove Stage Society delivers classic doo-wop memories, Feb 23- Mar 4
- Hello, Dolly! from Fraser Valley Stage is growin', glowing', and goin' strong from Feb 23 - Mar 4
- Thoroughly Modern Millie hilariously blends flappers, feminism and... white slavery? It's at Cap College from Mar 15-25.
- Fabulist Theatre's Songs for a New World features powerful, poignant songs of immigrants - particularly relevant these days - and arrives in March.
- Those sharp-tongued waiters get their due in Elbow Room Cafe: The Musical Mar. 1-12 at the Cultch.
- Fighting Chance Productions brings us Parade in April and A Chorus Line in August!
- Robin Hood, Prince of Tease burlesque's up the classic tale of merry men with sexy, gender-bending hilarity April 28 - May 13.
- Fiddler on the Roof, dinner theatre style, runs May 18 to June 17 in both Maple Ridge and Langley.
- Take a big yellow taxi to the Firehall for Circle Game, a reimagining of Joni Mitchell songs, April 29-May 20!
- I'm sure you'll find Grease guilty of being highly entertaining - it's this year's Lawyer Show, May 4-6!
- The World Goes Round celebrates Kander and Ebb, and I can say with candour that their songs' reputation will never ebb! June 8-24 from Deep Cove Stage Society.
