It is 1968. The Vietnam War is in full swing. Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy will shortly be assassinated. The Summer of Love is fast approaching. Justin Trudeau's father Pierre challenges the establishment of the Liberal Party for the leadership of the Party and of Canada. Brilliant, charismatic and popular with youth, his rise to power seems unstoppable. But by 1970, storm clouds are gathering, as militant FLQ separatists grow increasingly dangerous in Quebec. Featuring drama, humour and satire, a young Margaret Trudeau, cameo appearances by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Barbra Streisand and Justin, and over 20 original songs ranging from hip-hop to rock opera, performed by a 4-piece band directed by popular Vancouver music director Gordon Roberts, with dance moves choreographed by Kailley Roesler of Capilano University Musical Theatre Program, the cast brings you the phenomenon the press called "Trudeaumania"!
