Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the delightful story of a small-town girl who travels to New York City in 1922. Amid the flapper lifestyle, the social whirl and with the new idea of women entering the workforce, Millie invents a new life for herself. She decides on the ‘thoroughly modern” aim of marrying for money and not for love. She sets her sights on the new boss and moves into a rooming house, which is unfortunately run by the female leader of a white slavery ring in China. Hilarity ensues as she moves through high society, gets arrested, saves her friends from the slavery ring and finally falls for the boy who is ‘lower than an alley cat” – who turns out to be rich!! With catchy tunes, energetic dance numbers and thoroughly loveable characters, Millie will be an enchanting night out for the whole family.
