SuperCity, home to superheroes and supervillains, is struggling. The superheroes who have for so long kept it safe are now succumbing to death, depression and public humiliation. Will a new generation of superheroes be able to keep the city strong? Or will supervillain(esse)s once again rule the world?
The Supermusical: More Powers to You is a sequel of sorts to our original Supermusical - but don't worry, you don't need to have seen the first one to follow the plot of this one.
We'll be featuring great songs amidst the action: tunes from recent hits like Hamilton and Finding Neverland, from obscure but wonderful shows like Promenade, and from under-appreciated flops like last season's American Psycho.
Performances are at 8 p.m., Wednesday to Saturday, at Performance Works on Granville Island. Tickets are $25 for adults, with discount rates for kids, students and seniors.
