A Modern Panto about a Friendly Sasquatch
Written by Toph Whitmore, directed by Angie McLeod. Produced by Chris Stanley and Neil Wilkie.
It’s time for Deep Cove Stage’s Annual Christmas Pantomime, this year written by Deep Cove’s own Toph Whitmore!
The hottest boy band in the world, Six Degrees of Togetherness ("6DOT" for short), is headed to Deep Cove for a concert. But the members of 6DOT are mysteriously disappearing! Could the Beast of Mt. Seymour be behind it?
On the case is self-described local actress, bon vivant, and humanitarian Penelope Nelopy. Joining Penelope in her quest is new arrival Caroline Goodness, RCMP detective Jenkins (a horse who worked his way up from the Musical Ride), a police chief, a sinister real estate developer named Hunter Green, a couple of nutty sidekicks (Rosenstern & Guildencrantz), an evil witch, a “merman,” and Brock Rockton, North Shore Search & Rescue’s best.
Will they find the missing boy band members? Is the Beast real? Will anyone find love?
And most importantly, will they make it back in time for the big show?
(Maybe, maybe, maybe, and maybe…)
