Culture Day at West Vancouver's Kay Meek Centre is a celebration of the performing arts on Vancouver's North Shore. With over 150 youth and adult performers, representing 15 different groups offering 20 performances, this is a true showcase of our community performing arts ranging from Celtic to classical, dance to choral, and large groups to small. You will be immersed in the activities as Kay Meek Centre is turned into a 'live site' of simultaneous performances taking place in the two theatres and throughout the lobbies.
Musical theatre fans can enjoy the Triple Threat Duet: Michelle Creber and Natalie Sharp sing, act and dance their way through an upbeat programme of pop, jazz and musical theatre selections interspersed with hilarious comedy!
The Triple Threat Duet performs at 10:45am (Studio Theatre, 45 min.), 11:50 (Main Theatre, 40 min: the Carpenter Songbook), and again at 12:55 pm in the Studio Theatre.
Included on the program are all-female group Aliqua, musicians of the Ambleside Orchestra, North Shore Sinfonia and Pro Nova, student dancers of Perform Arts Studio and Pro Arte, and the highly energetic sounds of the North Shore Celtic Ensemble.
